Its a proven fact: Composting is the most environmentally sound method of handling animal mortality and other organic waste.
Traditional static pile composting – which has served animal agriculture well for many years – is greatly enhanced by adding the advanced technology of forced aeration, which provides:
- Ease of use and improved efficiency, no turning needed
- Higher and more consistent temperature
- Outstanding pathogen reduction
- Faster composting time
- Leachate control
- Odor reduction, and
- Greater control over the composting process

Advanced Composting Technologies' patented forced aeration floor system. Air is distributed evenly and consistently throughout the compost material, while leachate is collected through a different series of pipes.

The Advanced Composting system uses forced air and an air distribution to facilitate the timely replenishment of oxygen throughout the mixture for maximum composting efficiency. The ambient air is forced up through the mixture at pre-determined intervals using a timer. The amount of air is carefully calibrated to provide just the right amount needed to purge the carbon dioxide and replace it with fresh air, which contains about 18% oxygen.
This distribution of fresh air takes place at timed intervals, which vary according to the volume, porosity and moisture content of the composting material. These timed intervals are critical, because too much fresh air can eliminate needed moisture and cool down the material, both of which hurt the composting process. Turbo Tech’s forced aeration provides exactly the right amount of air needed, which speeds up the process and makes turning the compost mixture a thing of the past.
The right amount of moisture is also critical to the composting process. There must be some moisture – but not too much. So capturing and controling excess moisture, or leachate, is very important. Turbo Tech’s patented system of closed loop lechate control ensures that moisture is collected, controlled and recirculated back into the composting material. This not only helps the composting process, it also greatly reduces the mess and virtually eliminates the leachate odor typically found around compost bins.
Advanced Composting Technologies’ patent pending system offers a simple one-step process and ensures optimum conditions in the compost pile at all times.
